The film is set for a 2015 release. Alexander Marais Fairly Darker Motion Pictures Spirit Walking is a supernatural horror film revolving around a troubled thirteen-year-old named Lena. Living at home with her paraplegic younger sister and emotionally abusive single mother, Lena sneaks out one night and with friends becomes violently addicted to an illegal psychotropic drug believed to be a descendant of a kind of Eucalyptus Native Americans used on spirit walks. While the visions that manifest themselves to Lena start off as harmless, surreal, and oddly beautiful escapes from her unpleasant reality - it becomes chillingly clear that someone or something has crossed the threshold separating the world of the living from the world of the dead. One by one all of her friends begin seeing the monstrous specter, and Lena's reality becomes all the more terrifying as everyone's worst fears begin to surface... Production Overview: Duration of Filming: 2-4 weeks (from December 2013 - January 2014) This film has no actual "screenplay" but a 2 to 3 page treatment of what is going to occur and what scenes are going to be shot. I am doing this "Blair Witch-style." The film's running time will be that of a full feature, an estimated 100 to 110 minutes. The actors will be people who are exceptionally bright, act on their intuition, and are open to an unconventional approach to telling a truly horrifying story. The treatment will map out each scene, but each actor will be expected to bring their imagination and creative ideas to the acting of each scene, according to the scenario they have just read or that has been presented to them. Filming will take place in Mill Valley in Marin County, California. I am looking for a group of talented actors who are willing to work for free. This is a micro budget production but will be submitted to film festivals.
