The Department of Theatre and Dance at UC Davis invites applications for a Production Manager position (Principal Public Events Manager). Qualifications: Bachelor's in Dramatic Art or Theatre Productions or equivalent education and experience. Experience as a Production Manager, Stage Manager, and/or Production/Stage Manager. Responsibilities: The Production Manager has primary responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Production unit in the Theatre and Dance Department including managing the budgets, publicity, staff and facilities; managing and supervising the unit staff (publicity, scene shop, costume shop, lighting, audio and facilities). The Production Manager develops and manages the Production budget, manages all shop and theatre facilities, and is responsible for safety enforcement and equipment replacement as needed. The Production Manager develops the season calendar and production schedule in consultation with faculty, coordinates with other University authorities and oversees publicity and marketing for all productions. The Production Manager also performs administrative duties needed to carry out budget and staff management, according to university policy and using university systems.
