An introduction to the play: In September 1908, three respectable Yorkshire couples, married on the same day, at the same church and by the same vicar, join to celebrate 25 years of blissful matrimony. Or so they think … but then a shocking revelation reveals that they’ve never actually technically been married! With a photographer from the local paper due to arrive any second, a missing housekeeper and a doorbell that won’t stop ringing, can the three couples keep a lid on their embarrassing secret? Sparkling comic mayhem erupts as home truths fly like confetti and misunderstandings mount in this J.B. Priestley masterpiece. A delightfully funny period comedy, filled with laughs, surprises and wonderfully eccentric characters.

Read-through & auditions details: There will be an informal read-through of the play held on MONDAY 1ST JULY, 8pm. We recommend attending the reading if you are interested in auditioning. Open auditions will then take place the following MONDAY 8TH JULY once again at the church hall starting at 8pm.
