Details: We film only on weekends starting in December until completion in late spring/early summer. Compensation: Copy, credit, meals and pay TBD based upon experience. | Seeking 1 talent(s) for this role The main character Calvin’s mother, Frank’s wife. A special needs 3rd grade school teacher. She has a sweet temperament, very forgiving, well-educated. A breast cancer survivor. She lost her youngest daughter to Leukemia and Calvin is her only surviving child. The actress must have emotional depth and range and preferably can cry on cue. She reaches out to Addy’s teacher, Martha, and happens to meet Calvin (main character), who teaches Addy to paint and helps her with homework. There is a definite chemistry between her and Calvin. This traumatic event has resulted in Addy becoming mute, severely depressed and extremely uncomfortable around men. She sees psychiatrists frequently but nothing is working. She is very distrustful of Calvin at first; she won’t look him in the eye or shake his hand for months, but Calvin eventually earns her trust.
