THE STORY The Invisible City is centered on four friends who get caught up in the correctional system at a young age, and the impact it has on them throughout their lives. The story is a series of narratives collected from our research from within the Bayview Hunters Point community. |

His mother, Evelyn, had him when she was 16 years old. Once she discovered she was pregnant, Evelyn's then boyfriend, Miles father, Derek, who was only 18, disappeared from Hunters Point, never to be seen again. Evelyn gave birth to Miles in her friends bathroom, after running away from home to hide her pregnancy from her mother. Miles was dropped off in front of SF General Hospital (or any other hospital closest to Hunters Point). Since birth, Miles has been in the Foster Care System.
